How do I fix the error ‘Named Pipes Provider, error 40 – Could not open a connection to’ SQL Server’?

Open “SQL Server Configuration Manager” > SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocols for SQLEXPRESS > right click Properties > roll down to IPAll > TCP Port change to 1433 > restart SQL service
